Don’t you despise the people who are always “awww dude come over to my place I just got BBC Planet Earth on Blu-Ray, it’s fucking intense in HIGH DEF!”?
Well this 1080p rip of 2001 A Space Odyssey turns me into one of those people. This movie is easily in my top ten and I have probably fallen asleep to this movie at least a couple times a month for the past 10 years. I put it on as a background a lot too, it’s beautiful, thought provoking and only has 43 minutes of dialogue for two and a half hours of film. The soundtrack and score are indescribable.
But now that I have this rip, I can see all these little details and ohh and ahh and im feeling very much like “fuck yeah high definition, its not just for dickless loser fratboys with a vague understanding of digital technology”.
Anyways, download this rip (it will take a couple days probably), roll a couple joints and watch this on the biggest HDTV you can get access to. You will probably feel compelled to give me a blowjob afterwards but don’t worry about it, really.
