Lil Wayne, Gudda Gudda, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Tyga, Jae Millz & Lloyd - Bed Rock
Bed Rock is Young Money’s “Make Em Say Ugh”, better known as a Posse Song. Used to elevate the positions of the commercially viable rapper’s “Cling-On Rappers”. These are artists that are discovered by the main rapper, in this case Lil Wayne. Lil Wayne made a good choice on netting Drake and Nicki Minaj may be able to generate record sales based on copying Lil Kim’s pre-jail aesthetic, but I do not see a bright future for Gudda Gudda, Tyga. Jae Millz & Lloyd have been floating around for a while, bouncing around fledgling labels and making mixes. Lloyd is tolerable for a generic rnb hook but hiphop certainly doesnt need more hook artists. Young Money will likely be a smaller label near the end of 2010, with solid albums and tapes coming out of Drake and Nicki Minaj, but I think the rest will prove to be filler rappers.
